U2 is a rock band from Dublin in Ireland which was founded in 1976. The members of the band are Bono, The Edge, Adam Clayton, and Larry Mullen, Jr. When the band was formed, the members were teenagers with limited musical proficiency and experience. By the 1980s, the band had become one of the most famous in the world, renowned for their anthemic sound. Bono’s superb vocals and The Edge’s excellent guitar playing were the highlights of the band. U2 responded positively and rapidly to the dance and alternative rock revolutions. They were initially more popular and successful on stage than at selling records. The 1987 album The Joshua Tree literally made them superstars.Recommended content
